Architects & Co-Founders - Bismut&Bismut
Daniel and Michel Bismut are architects, designers and brothers. They design and produce unique and personal residential and commercial projects on four continents and work at different scales, from the detail of a piece of furniture to the design of a building. They like to simplify the architectural vocabulary to keep only the essential. Most recently, they designed a new yacht for the San Lorenzo shipyards, and the VIP floor of the new Cartier flagship in Geneva. Currently, the brothers are completing the construction of a commercial promenade in southwest France and putting the finishing touches on several residential projects in Comporta, Jeddah, Paris, Saint Tropez and Megève where they have opened a 250m2 gallery showcasing their furniture collection. In December 2022, the designers will unveil their collaboration with Smiley on the 50th anniversary of the iconic symbol. Daniel and Michel complement their architectural approach with a collection of clean, custom-designed furniture featuring artisanal skills and sensual materials. Their "Trays" table has joined the prestigious collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, their "Drum" pedestal tables and their "Wizzz" tables, which are part of the national furniture collection, have been chosen to furnish the lounges of the Élysée Palace. Finally, the "Kinetic" table was presented at the France Pavilion of the Dubai2020 World Expo.
Architect & Founder - Thierry Lemaire
Thierry Lemaire defines himself as a designer in the great tradition of French decorative arts. Trained as an architect, he applies his timeless, elegant and comfortable style to exclusive interior architecture and decoration projects, where he combines raw materials and sophistication with particular attention to detail. His collaborative approach engages him in dialogue with his clients in order to meet their aspirations in projects that are as close as possible to their needs and desires. He creates high quality living spaces all over the world, in Beirut, Paris or Gstaad, imbued with his culture, his vision of the French art of living and the know-how of the craftsmen with whom he collaborates. His practice also leads him to sign scenographies for fairs and events such as AD Intérieurs. Author of a prestigious private club on the Place de la Concorde, Thierry Lemaire has multiplied his projects for public places, hotels and restaurants. He also designs furniture for Fendi Casa for whom he imagines contemporary collections in a privileged relationship and collaborates with Dior who selects certain pieces of furniture for its showrooms and boutiques. In love with generous and refined lines, he self-publishes part of his creations, relying on an ecosystem of art craftsmen that he presents in his gallery located on rue de Beaune, in the heart of the Antiquaries district. It is this excellence that led the Mobilier National to choose Thierry Lemaire to furnish the salons of the Elysée Palace as well as the President's office, and to make him a contemporary ambassador of French decorative arts.
