Joyce Wang

Joyce Wang

Principal - Joyce Wang Studio

Born in Hawaii and raised in Hong Kong and London, Joyce Wang studied Architecture and Materials Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) followed by a Master’s degree in Interior Design from London’s Royal College of Art. Fueled by her love of physics, film and drawing, Wang embarked on a journey into architecture, then on to interior design while at Foster + Partners. She established her eponymous studio in 2011. Across an acclaimed global portfolio of unique fine-dining and luxury hospitality spaces, Wang infuses an artisanal elegance with enigmatic rigour and willfully circumvents style signatures. Taking cues from both cinema and science, she aims to conjure an emotive and sensorial resonance with each interior environment. “A great interior is like a great film: we want to return to it and enjoy it again and again. Each time something different grabs our attention, elevating the overall experience”.
