PET SQUARE: the new high-end pet lifestyle space with pedigree – Cat & Dog Trends 2026. At the heart of Hall 7, in the Gift & Play sector at Maison&Objet, an unexpected pet lifestyle offer stands out at the crossroads of an aisle.
From 15 to 19 January 2026, visitors will be able to sniff out the latest gems of the pet market curated by Yoan Latouche, a leading expert in the animal world.
Cutting-edge accessories, comfortable and multifunctional objects, decorative goodies, everything is designed for our four-legged companions. From one brand to another, let yourself be surprised by a selection that truly has bite! Among the standout brands expected are Ugo, Bande de Canailles, Marley & Me, Heyloop, etc. Here’s a closer look.
A growing passion: which target audiences are driving this booming trend in France and internationally?
Yoann Latouche: Economically speaking, Generation Z comes first, followed by millennials and then boomers. Since the Covid pandemic, we’ve been witnessing a social phenomenon that keeps accelerating. Even the luxury world has embraced it—think Prada, Gucci, Hermès, Céline and Miu Miu. In these turbulent times, the unconditional love we receive from our pets reassures us, anchors us, and brings us back to positive values. Now more than ever, we need cuddle therapy.

A flagship product riding the wave of this pet-forward trend?
YL: I’d say… the stroller! In South Korea, 55% of strollers sold are intended for dogs rather than children. True pioneers in pet care trends, Koreans are inspiring the global market with their array of innovative accessories.
Which other categories are experiencing strong momentum?
YL: Without a doubt, pet tech, a booming sector appealing to a clientele seeking health monitoring, safety and comfort. Also rising fast: Matchy-Matchy accessories, offering coordinated looks for owners and their pets. Animals have become an extension of ourselves. And of course, we’re seeing the growth of 360° lifestyle services, from daycare to spas, all the way to canine hotels.

At Maison&Objet in January, what do professionals come to source to bring this universe to life in their stores?
YL: Above all, decorative objects and accessories! Instead of pet food, the show has chosen, for this first edition dedicated to pets, to explore the realm of pet design. Visitors will discover everything from cozy nests to designer cat trees and sculptural scratching posts, and much more. Many other on-trend canine and feline accessories are expected, all designed to help you build a premium, style-driven offer.
