Popular culture has long been at the heart of contemporary design. Through a conversation centred on innovation, collaboration and the transmission of knowledge, three creative collectives come together to share how they approach both creation and collective practice, drawing on the cultural worlds that have shaped them.

Designer and cofounder - Maison Super A
A designer with an instinctive and multidisciplinary approach, Aurélien Altius develops a vision of design that blends experimentation, storytelling and foresight. Educated in Art History at the Sorbonne, then at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres and ENSCI Les Ateliers, he has built a hybrid practice spanning objects, spaces, scenography and creative direction. After working independently, in agencies and within leading luxury houses, he co-founded Maison Super A in 2022 with his wife and children. Conceived as a family creative laboratory, the studio embraces collective intelligence, transmission and intergenerational dialogue as the driving forces behind its projects.
Emerging designer - Maison Super A
Raised within the creative universe of Maison Super A, Souheyl Altius grew up surrounded by objects, spaces, images and experimentation. From an early age, he developed a natural curiosity for design and a fascination with how ideas become tangible. Passionate about visual culture, design and making processes, he continuously shapes his perspective through creative experiences while developing his own voice. Currently studying in a STD2A program, he actively contributes to the family studio, where collective creation, intergenerational dialogue and shared imagination foster a unique approach rooted in individuality, transmission and family heritage.
Engineer Lead & co-founder - Hall Haus
Hall Haus is a Paris-based design and architecture studio founded in 2020 by Abdoulaye Niang, Sammy Bernoussi, Teddy Sanches, and Zakari Boukhari. Their name itself — Hall, referring to the everyday urban spaces where they grew up, and Haus, reflecting their connection to design schools — embodies a journey across cultures, scales, and social worlds. In just a few years, Hall Haus has developed a practice that embraces multiculturalism, sport, music, and public life as legitimate foundations of design excellence. Their work echoes Virgil Abloh’s democratizing spirit while remaining deeply rooted in their own experiences as Paris-based creatives shaped by diasporic cultures. Their commitment to accessibility is far from rhetorical: “Design is not accessible. Music is popular. Sport is popular. So the idea is to bring people towards design.” Their objects, exhibitions, and collaborations consistently extend an invitation — to young creatives, uninitiated audiences, and communities beyond institutional circles — encouraging them to enter a discipline long perceived as exclusive. Zakari-Hocine Boukhari, also known as “Zakito,” is 30 years old and lives in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. Born in Algeria, he moved to Paris at the age of six. He is currently pursuing engineering studies in renewable energy at Arts et Métiers. Positioned at the intersection of design and industry, he is driven by a desire to contribute to the cities of tomorrow and constantly questions the place of humans in our world.

Abdoulaye Niang, also known as “Le Nig,” is 35 years old. He grew up in Trappes, in the Yvelines region, and his parents are of Senegalese origin. He graduated from ENSCI–Les Ateliers in 2018 with a Master’s degree in Industrial Design and went on the following year to specialize in leather goods, notably at Louis Vuitton. Abdoulaye defines himself as a “global designer” who works with intangible phenomena such as synesthesia, giving them a tangible form. Exploring associations of ideas and shapes, and creating his own visual and conceptual vocabulary, are at the heart of his practice. These reflections are translated into objects and experiences designed to challenge our relationship with the world. His aim is to create tools that allow people to “become,” “understand,” and “see” their practice or environment differently, opening possibilities for reinvention.
