For Maison&Objet 2026, scenographer Louise Lemesle transforms Hall 7 into a vibrant experience inspired by the world of festivals. Echoing this edition’s theme, “Pulse in Motion,” the artistic identity of this space combines architecture, bold colors, and graphic design to create a lively, rhythmic, and intuitive visitor journey.
What graphic identity did you envision for this Festival space?
L.L.: The identity becomes synonymous with energy, reflecting a trade show in constant motion, capable of naturally drawing visitors into its momentum.
How did the theme “Pulse in Motion” inspire this project?
L.L.: It was both the subject and the driving force behind the project. It served as the starting point as well as its engine. I imagined a space that activates flows rather than constrains them, that accompanies movement rather than directs it.
In practical terms, how is this energy expressed in the scenography?
L.L.: These structures become landmarks, signals, almost invitations.
What role does color play in this concept?
L.L.: The color palette does more than guide visitors; it creates atmospheres, emotions, and intuitive points of reference.
You often speak about the dialogue between graphic design and architecture. How does it take shape here?
L.L.: Through a sense of depth, vibration effects, and layered compositions that make the space feel as though it is in constant motion. I like the idea of an architecture that is not static but infused with visual energy.
What kind of experience would you like visitors to take away?
L.L.: I would like them to feel as though they are exploring a festival dedicated to the art of living. More than a simple journey, it is an invitation to discover, connect, and remain curious, an experience driven by emotion and movement.
