2024: A design-focused Olympic year

In September 2023, Paris scored a try by hosting the Rugby World Cup. And in January 2024, Maison&Objet put Mathieu Lehanneur, the designer of the Olympic torch, in the spotlight, awarding him the title of Designer of the Year. Six months later, at your next fair in September 5-9, 2024, it’s the Paralympic Games that will set the capital’s pulse racing.
For several months now, along with our partners in the Île-de-France Region, we’ve been preparing to host you under the best possible conditions!
Good to know
- The Olympic Games, which will attract the largest number of spectators, will have concluded on August 11th.
- The Paralympic Games have an audience that is 15-20% of the total attendance of the Olympic Games.
- Only a few volleyball competitions will be held in Hall 8 of the Parc des Expositions until September 7th, and these have been deliberately planned at staggered time slots (12:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.) so as not to disturb your visit to the fair.
- The organization of a dedicated visitor reception area will facilitate easy access to the site.
Preparing

TRANSPORTATION
- The region and its transportation authorities are committed to providing as many taxi and RER B connections as possible between Paris and the Parc des Expositions. This system will be enhanced compared to the schedule that was available during the Rugby World Cup in September 2023.
- Maison&Objet will also double its number of free shuttle buses, with departures every 15 minutes from Porte Maillot.
