Emilie Bonaventure

Interior Designer & Decorator & Founder - studio be-attitude

Émilie Bonaventure is a decorator and scenographer. She takes a holistic approach to her projects, like a creative director. An art historian and graduate of the Ecole du Louvre, Émilie is passionate about antique, modern and contemporary objects, as well as 20th-century French ceramics. She works with the worlds of art, fashion, hospitality and gastronomy. In 2005, Émilie founded “be-attitude”, an interior design firm built around the concept of breaking down barriers and creating a dialogue between art, architecture and all forms of artistic creation. It is a cross-category stance, where listening to clients and customization are fundamental as part of an approach that is truly avant-garde. In her private projects, Émilie Bonaventure cleverly combines classic and contemporary art, design, vintage furniture and one-of-a-kind pieces. Her keen eye, her collector’s spirit, her curiosity and her choices build a coherent connection between the artworks and their decorative setting, once complete. Alongside the residential projects she has worked on since the start of her firm, and also to satisfy her interest in gastronomy, Émilie has collaborated with chef/owners over the past 15 years, including Greg Marchand*, Rose Bakery, Franck Baranger and Jean Sulpice**. These projects and collaborations have made her a familiar face on the French hospitality scene.

She continues to consult as artistic advisor to the luxury industry including brands such as Diptyque, for its first home collection, and Dior Parfums. Passionate about interior decoration and artisanship, she seeks out the best contemporary talents in design and pairs them with the best European craftsmen. An indefatigable, curious reader, Isabelle borrowed the name The Invisible Collection from Stephan Zweig’s eponymous novel. Her motto: Audacity is the bridge between dreams and reality
