Sunday 18 January — 15:00 - 15:45
The Talks — Hall 3

Description

The theme of Maison&Objet January edition, Past Reveals Future, invites us to reflect on the balance between heritage and innovation. Central to the fair, the three What’s New spaces were designed around this concept. During this talk, Elisabeth Leriche, who created What’s New? In Decor, Rudy Guénaire, behind What’s New? In Hospitality, and François Delclaux, responsible for What’s New? In Retail, will share their approach, their vision, and how they interpreted this trend.

Elizabeth Leriche

Scenographer and trend-setter

Elizabeth Leriche is the Director of her own eponymous style consultancy. She is what you might call a “trend hunter”. For over twenty years, she has been working in the textile, fashion, design, industry, and home worlds. Her business activities are based on the five essential axes which are: trend research, collection design and product development, design of exhibitions/installations and forums for professional fairs. She gives meaning and tells storues, drawing from many fields: her travels through major world capitals, exhibitions, architecture, culinary arts, analyzing consumer behavior to offer appropriate responses and a customized, forward-looking vision. She has taking part in the Maison&Objet fair’s trend Observatory for over 10 years. For this project, she enjoys recreating situations and inviting visitors to participate by using their senses.

Rudy Guénaire

Interior designer & Founder - Night Flight

Passionate about architecture and driven by a search for timeless beauty and comfort, I founded Nightflight, my interior design studio. I sketch every project by hand rather than on a computer, striving to create something new the old-fashioned way. We believe in telling story, deep thinking, and designs that speak clearly and effortlessly. Our inspiration comes from philosophy, poetry, primitive art, and the avant-garde. We try to stay away from fast design and superficial décor, the kind that fades as quickly as it appears. We’ve designed homes, retail spaces, bars, restaurants, offices, furniture, and brands.
