Based in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, Q de bouteilles is a family-run business that designs and crafts decorative and tableware objects from glass bottles. Since its founding in 2016, over 700,000 bottles have been upcycled into glasses, vases, candles, boards, and lanterns.
At the workshop in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, production is fully in-house, and the glass is worked by skilled artisans using low-energy processes. The ambition of founders Victoire and Gauthier Decarne is to bring beautiful, functional, and sustainable objects at home and on the table.
The story of Q de bouteilles is closely tied to that of a glass bottle. A witness to a first life, the bottle is given a second one through the upcycling process carried out in the Touquet workshop.
From the bottle emerges a collection of everyday objects such as stemmed glasses, vases, and candle holders made from recycled glass—a full range of tableware and decorative items.
The exploration of the bottle continues ! Determined to make use of the entire container*, the company is developing two new materials, driven by ecological awareness: textured glass and glass marble.
*50% of the bottle had yet to be utilized until now.
Open to interpretation and endlessly shapeable, these two emerging materials mark a new chapter for Q de bouteilles. They pave the way for a new line of objects and furniture (first creations in textured glass to be unveiled in September 2025).
A bridge between past and future, material now carries both chapters of the brand. From container to material, Q de bouteilles presents glass as the starting point of its creations. Recycled glass, textured glass, and glass marble will now coexist within a single brand—between tradition and renewal, craftsmanship and innovation.
Already acclaimed by individual clients and retailers (such as Merci, Le Bon Marché, and La Samaritaine), Q de bouteilles is now expanding its offer to professionals—particularly architects and those in the hospitality and wine industries.
The company now offers customizable furniture and surface coverings. Attentive to the needs of its professional clients, Q de bouteilles enables fully bespoke projects: textured glass and glass marble can be tailored in terms of color, size, and shape. A set of glass marble table tops has already been created for a Michelin-starred restaurant, and a café has been fitted with a custom island made of glass marble tiles.
Therefore, blending artisanal tradition with sustainable innovation, Q de bouteilles continues its journey with boldness and coherence.
At the upcoming Maison & Objet trade show, the company will unveil its first creations in textured glass, alongside its iconic recycled glass collections.
Join us this September to discover this new material, meet the founders, and immerse yourself in the unique world of Q de bouteilles, where every object tells its story of transformation.
