It’s official: the Future On Stage Jury has delivered its verdict! Three emerging brands caught the attention of Vincent Grégoire (Director of Consumer Trends & Insights at NellyRodi), Franck Millot (Director of Paris Design Week), Florence Delage (Commercial Department Director at Le Bon Marché), Cristiano Benzoni (Co-founder of Studio REV), Vincent Roméo (Founder of Blog Esprit Design – Head of Digital Social Media at 14 Septembre – Groupe Extreme), Karine Zagaroli (Editorial Director of the Home Division at Reworld Media), and Vincent Lhoste (Managing Director of SAFI – Maison&Objet).
From September 10 to 14, 2026, discover Baguette Studio, Risette, and LightMass, three young ventures from the French, Dutch, and British entrepreneurial scenes, at Maison&Objet.
Three distinct creative approaches, one shared ambition: creating objects with meaning.
At the close of an exceptional deliberation, Vincent Lhoste, Managing Director of SAFI – Maison&Objet, reaffirmed the strategic positioning of Future On Stage:
“This initiative is celebrating its seventh edition this year and fully embodies the DNA of the trade fair as a platform where business, communication, trends, and sourcing converge. The new generation must remain at the heart of our industry’s priorities. This year, we received 331 applications for the Future On Stage award, representing a 30% increase compared to last year.”
Spotlight on the Winners
“Maison&Objet offers us a strategic platform to connect with specifiers and a clientele seeking bespoke creations, which is essential for the development of our self-produced brand. After Paris Design Week in September 2025, this feels like a natural and stimulating continuation.”

Founded in September 2025 by Emma Lohner and Philippe Gaud, Baguette Studio enjoys experimenting with materials. Their material of choice? Vegetable wax and beeswax, renewable and biodegradable materials that they melt, remelt, mold, and endlessly reshape to create lamps with a warm, soft glow. No material goes to waste.
As for their production method, the duo opted for rotational molding, using a custom-designed machine conceived for mobile and event-based use, easy to assemble and dismantle. The process saves production time, as the wax solidifies naturally through air cooling.
This thoughtful approach also extends to an inclusive production model, notably through a future collaboration with Entreprise Adaptée de Noisy, a company employing mainly workers with disabilities.
In September 2026, the duo will produce their pieces live at Maison&Objet in the form of a happening at the heart of the fair.
“I like collecting, I like personalizing, I like participating, I like sharing, I like listening. I dress in black and I like colorful things. While waiting to meet you… I’m making risettes.”
That says it all, meet César Moncaut.

Freshly graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven Bachelor program in 2024, César Moncaut founded his brand Risette in the Netherlands. Drawn to Dutch design, he identifies with its sense of humor and its simplicity-driven approach.
Interactive and vibrant, his cardboard and paper lamps invite viewers to discover narrative objects from different perspectives and to manipulate them as though flipping through the pages of a book.
Navy blue, powder pink, mint green… the choice of colors also plays a key role. César enjoys unexpected combinations, observing how shades react to light and surroundings when applied to modest, recyclable materials.
His corner mirrors made of wood and steel playfully reveal the interiors in which they are placed, subtly transforming the perception of space.
Plural, almost therapeutic objects that awaken and stimulate the senses.
“Minimalist in form, weight, and waste impact, our structures created from LED beams elevate spaces through their sculptural and luminous presence.”

Founded eight years ago by Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay, the British RAW-EDGES Studio launched LightMass as a personal project alongside collaborations with numerous brands including Louis Vuitton, Vitra, Stella McCartney, Mutina, Kvadrat, +Halle, Superfront, Cozmo, Golran, Gan, Swarovski, Established & Sons, Arco, Moroso, Cappellini, and Airbnb.
A response to the newfound freedom in lighting design, where light becomes material and structure approaches sculpture, the collection explores translucent, essential, lightweight volumes that occupy space without obstructing it: they define it, permeate it, and transform it.
When switched off, the pieces appear to float like filigree drawings in the air. When illuminated, their mesh surfaces capture the LED beam, diffract it, and give it architectural form, turning light into an almost tangible presence.
