URCYL is a new castable material made only from wood and natural urushi. Repairable, durable, and circular — a third material reinvented for a future where value grows through long-term use. URCYL is a new moldable material made only from wood and natural urushi lacquer. By combining a 10,000-year Japanese material with modern science, URCYL becomes a durable, repairable “third material” unlike plastic or metal. It can be used for decades, even centuries, without being discarded. Created by nature and reinvented by humans, URCYL represents a new way of living—one that leaves no debt to the planet and passes value to the next generation.
