Barbara Palatin-Doyle’s designs draw from the splendors and craftsmanship of luxury objects of past centuries. Barbara Palatin-Doyle is an artist, a collector of old masters, a docent for the Decorative Arts Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the founder of Studio Palatin. She specializes in handcrafted, sculptural lighting in limited editions. Her passion are table lamps and candlesticks. As an artist, she incorporates materials and techniques reflecting the exquisite craftsmanship of the 17th and 18thcentury in contemporary design, combining art with functionality. Her preferred materials are porcelain, bronze, gold, silver, glass and Japanese paper. See more
