Obudo is a Japanese brand of bags and accessories made from a plant-based material, crafted using traditional Inden techniques. Koshu inden is a distinctive leathercraft from Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, combining deer leather with Japanese urushi lacquer. Originally popular among samurai during the Sengoku period for armorware, this technique makes the leather more durable and polished with use. Obudo is a new brand by Yamamoto Inden, designed to meet the needs of modern lifestyles and digital tools. Instead of the traditional deer leather, Obudo uses Ultrasuede®, a cutting-edge, plant-based, unwoven material. See more
