Technical know-how opens new creative horizons at ACTUEL

Setting hall 5B into a chic, contemporary orbit, ACTUEL is dedicated to rich urban aesthetics with showcases full of major inspiration for distribution markets and specifiers. A rising trend: technical interests linked to the world of development have heightened exhibitor expertise.

ACTUEL, its monumental stands, its polished atmospheres, its high-end furniture and smart accessories compositions? Yes, but not just that. Behind these visions of today’s lifestyle hide skills decorators value. A sign of the times: at ACTUEL, the Belgian furniture brand Flamingo is inaugurating expertise in bathroom fittings and wall coverings. In the same vein, an increasing number of exhibitors are including technicians trained to work hand in hand with architects and “product” specialized teams who can take on large-scale projects.

Another trend on the “contract” side: some specialists in upscale work sites are getting their turn in the decorative adventure with stands that are angled to be as technical as they are aesthetic. In January, the Italian tile industry is exhibitsing its expertise across 300 m2, next to the Business Lounge. Specializing in construction and decoration, Atmosphère et Bois develops enriching solutions involving wood as a material, including lots from old cabins in Canada. As for Verrière d’Artiste, it is going for double materials with metalwork and glass, while La Falegnami is banking on custom fixtures. Everything needed to satisfy the demands of a specific market including hospitality groups (from 3 stars to luxury hotels), boutique hotels as well as rising share of very high-end residential projects. Name dropping, anyone?
