The cook+design studio: from January 24 to 28, foodistas will only have one word on their lips… and for good reason. The platform inaugurated by MAISON&OBJET is presenting the first “food fashion week.” No less. In place of a red carpet, in hall 3, an XXL table/counter decked out in copper will bring an audience of foodies together with highly creative performances beneath the artistic lights of a monumental fixture from which precious gourmet objects hang. Borrowing from the aesthetic codes of the living room as well as from neo-breweries, the staging imagined by architect Cristiano Benzoni crystallizes the convivial dimension of a happening as festive as it is aesthetic. At the helm, great chefs – first and foremost Jean-François Piège – designers and other gastronomic or design virtuosos will offer their expertise, decipher the trends and regale the audience with their gastronomic insights.
On the menu of delights: breakfast in breakgood mode; the best of street food or nomadic cooking; tableware and brands; the irresistible rise of Japanese whiskey (with NIKKA); and grand cru coffee beans; the return of good bread under the enlightened patronage of super-baker Dominique Saibron; the new ways of tasting tea; the increasingly bespoke culinary arts ; as well as, among other exciting themes, the haute pastry of tomorrow (Philippe Conticini, La Patisserie des Reves, and Eddie Benghanem of the Trianon Palace).
A trendy, sensory frenzy to savor from the entrance to hall 3, conducted by the magic of Cristiano Benzoni et Sophie Thuillier, agence REV Architecture: around the studio, large hanging mirrors will broadcast the image of this great banquet. Will you join in?
