Concrete LCDA panels adapt to all types of interiors. The company seduced the Claude Cartier architecture agency.

In their own way, each party remembers the meeting that day in September 2015 at a MAISON&OBJET trade fair.

“We contacted Claude Cartier who directs a wonderful architecture agency in Lyon. She came to our stand and loved Panbeton®, especially our Branché 2 mm model”, explains Clément Lescanne, director of Concrete LCDA, that produces panels with a concrete facade to cover walls. For architect Fabien Louvier, who accompanied Claude Cartier that day, it was a revelation: “Since we like mixing materials in our own way, these panels literally stopped us in our tracks!”

This was the beginning of a special partnership for LCDA and the Claude Cartier agency. Their first communal project was done in September 2016: a contemporary home with a baroque décor. “By using the Manbeton® Modern panels designed by Ich & Kar, Claude Cartier wanted to play up contrasts by juxtaposing concrete and gold leaf”, remembers Clément Lescanne. Then followed a contemporary brasserie, a Bulthaup showroom that used black Panbeton® printed with herringbones and a Lyon wedding dress boutique (opening in September 2018). “Since then, Claude Cartier has been following our new collections each year and it is a pleasure to discover our products integrated in her agency’s magnificent projects”, continues Clément Lescanne. “The architects we meet at trade fairs understand immediately what they can gain by using our products. This is also the strength of MAISON&OBJET: exhibitors can propose their products and decorating solutions directly to architects and appeal to their creativity.”
