Objects of tension, light and transparency. Johan Pertl is a Czech designer and glass artist based in Prague. His work blends authorial design, fine art, and experimental explorations of light and material. He graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he is currently completing his PhD. Working from his own studio in Strahov, he designs and creates most of his pieces by hand. His practice includes both long-term artistic projects and commissioned works for private and public spaces.
