Paul Cocksedge's "Squeeze," supported by Deknudt Mirrors at Hôtel de Sully, delves into light and reflectivity. Fascinated by creating reflective surfaces, Cocksedge describes it as alchemy—mixing liquids and coatings to form a mirror. With "Squeeze," Cocksedge began with soft, compressible forms, shaping them with his hands, creating compositions, which were then reinterpreted into 2D flatworks, creating a dialogue between the tangible soft forms and their flat counterparts. As visitors move from the indoor space to the garden, they encounter a mirrored sculpture reflecting the sky and architecture. This outdoor piece invites viewers to see themselves within the vibrant Parisian landscape, fostering introspection and celebrating creativity. See more
