Opéra / Concorde / Etoile

Created in 2011 as an echo to the exhibition The Fertile City: Toward an Urban Nature, this workshop playfully explores the theme of sustainable cities. The exhibition is centered around a large landscape-style platform where visitors are invited to build their own green cities using an original interactive game. At the heart of the installation is a large-scale, hands-on model of an urban environment transformed by nature, offering a glimpse into the creativity and efforts of citizens working to make cities more livable: community gardens, green façades, rooftop gardens, urban farms, and the repurposing of abandoned land. A materials library allows visitors to see, touch, and explore the natural resources used in architecture and urban planning. Poetic and playful, the exhibition sparks the imagination while offering a realistic vision of how nature can help shape the cities of tomorrow. See more
