APPARTEMENT-ATELIER DE LE CORBUSIER

Opéra / Concorde / Etoile

The apartment-studio occupies the top two floors of an innovative building designed between 1931 and 1934 by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, on the border between Paris and Boulogne. With its eight fully glazed floors, it stands as the first glass residential building in architectural history. Known as the Molitor building, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2016, along with 17 other works by Le Corbusier. The 240 m² duplex houses Le Corbusier’s living quarters and painting studio. Bathed in light and open to nature, it features the key elements of his architectural language: the free plan, long horizontal glazed panels, the roof terrace, polychromy, and the immense pivoting doors that both divide and open up the space. Booking: www.fondationlecorbusier.fr – €10 / €5 for student See more
