VITRINE POUR UN DESIGNER (VP1D for those in the know) is a textile biennial in the form of a competition for young object, fashion and textile designers living and working in the heart of a triangle that links London, Paris and Brussels. The jury of the 6th biennial and their president Constance Guisset selected a winner from amongst the edition’s 9 talented finalists: check out their creations in Hall 4!

By Elizabeth Leriche

Just like a brand new blank page, the very essence of the object, the creator's hand, his/her skill, chosen matter and the time needed to create and to produce will all be highlighted. Organised around four forms of expression, the Ateliers d'Art de France trend forum proposes a moment's respite for you to settle and contemplate objects by fine craft creators.

Pierre Charpin

M&O PARIS designer of the year, January 2017

Pierre Charpin presents his PC lamp, which he developed with Sébastien Wrong. It is the perfect incarnation of ‘less is more’. This apparently simple lamp took 3 years to develop, in particular to achieve the invisibility of its technical elements. It is one example amongst others of Pierre Charpin’s fascinating work that can be seen in this large exhibition.
