Hall 7: A hall for the best of specifiers!

Inside M&O

In tune with market dynamics, MAISON&OBJET is continuing to remodel its offer with the rise of the MAISON&OBJET | projets | sector. Reconfigured in the front of hall 7, this new motor for the Luxury and Design Pole is dressing up the September session with a decidedly architectural sensibility. In that vein, the MAISON&OBJET | projets | Awards will reward the best interior design solutions and products presented at the show. A first.

For its autumn session in 2014, the gathering for decoration professionals is honoring interior design. Created eight years ago, the MAISON&OBJET | projets | sector is expanding, to the delight of architects, interior designers and contractors looking for technical solutions, original fittings and innovative materials. To meet the growth of qualified visitors, who are also working in contracting, hospitality or residential buildings, MAISON&OBJET has allotted an additional 2000 m² to this key sector, which brings together some 200 exhibitors, specialized SMEs and ultra-specialized SMIs. Rare materials, precious craftsmanship, high technology…. Now located in the entrance to Hall 7, this season the new showcase for technical excellence embodies the best of Luxury and Design, with show design by the architect, designer and scenographer Philippe Boisselier.

To support the development of the sector, MAISON&OBJET PARIS is launching two awards dedicated to the design of architectural solutions: the MAISON&OBJET | projets | Awards. The first is led by an international jury of professionals made up of Philippe Brocart, the managing director of MAISON&OBJET; Reda Amalou, architect and designer (and designer of the Business Lounge in September 2014); Massimo Mussapi, an Italian architect and designer; Hicham Lahlou, a Moroccan designer; Francis Surjaseputra, president of the Asia Pacific Space Designers Alliance; Antoine Vernholes, editor in chief of the magazine L’architecture d’aujourd’hui (A’A’) and Iris Maluski, editor in chief of Home Magazine. And for the other side of these new awards, the audience award invites architecture and design fans to vote for their favorite product. Come see the MAISON&OBJET facebook page from July 2014 to the start of the show, and two press partner sites, A’A’ and Home Magazine. The election runs until September 7, with an awards ceremony on September 8 in the show’s conference space. May the best designer win!
