Asian Capitals Welcome M&O ASIA Networking Events

Inside M&O

In preparation for the second session of M&O ASIA in Singapore (from 10 to 13 March 2015), MAISON&OBJET has orchestrated a series of industry meet-ups in a few strategic capitals in Asia. Jakarta, Seoul, Taipei, Shanghai and Beijing, in turn, brought together influential people from the decoration and design community. Throughout the month of November, the cocktail parties allowed everyone to enjoy the MAISON&OBJET culture and discover the six Rising Talents Asia 2015, the local version of Talents à la Carte.


On 17 November 2014, the MAISON&OBJET teams, accompanied by representatives of HDII (The Indonesian Society of Interior Designers)received a hundred guests at the Skye, one of the most distinguished rooftop bars in the city. Established and emerging designers, manufacturers and distributors were able to come together along with Francis Surjaseptura, President of HDII, and the Indonesian Rising Talent 2015 Abie Abdillah.


On 19 November 2014, MAISON&OBJET organized a Networking Cocktail Event in Seoul’s Floating Islands. One hundred guests were able to familiarize themselves with the world of the international trade show, under the leadership of Ms. Woo Kyung Mi, president of the design office and concept store DesignAllee, and Ms. Lee Yu Rim, president of Riviera Maison. The event was covered by, among others, the Interni & Decor / Casa Living magazines.


On Friday, 21 November 2014 at the W Hotel in Taipei, 90 people attended the MAISON&OBJET ASIA reception. Among them, designers, representatives of TDC (Taiwan Design Center) and the CSID (Chinese Society of Interior Designers), contractors, distributors and journalists – including the team of media partner D FUN magazine.


On Tuesday, 25 November 2014, the restaurant Light&Salt hosted some 120 personalities in the charming historic Rockbund district, under the leadership of Mr. He Shou Chang, president of the Hi Shanghai Promotion Center for city of design. Among other guests: the famous designer Wang Yang and interior architect Wu Ben. At the event, the MAISON&OBJET teams announced the nomination of designer Zhang Zhou Jie to join the six Rising Talents Asia in 2015.


On Wednesday, 26 November 2014, one hundred guests gathered at the RAFFLES hotel along with Liu Wan You, General Manager of Blue Morning (one of the leading distributors of high-end furniture in China) and Mr. LI Ruicheng, designer.
