A 3-step itinerary.
What does remain private in an overexposed era that wavers between exhibitionism and discretion, transgression and a desire for serenity? The boundaries between public life and private life have become blurred. Our take on privacy is evolving in a very paradoxical way. For some, the desire to recreate a territory for oneself alone, away from the bustle of the world, has proved to be essential. For others, a rebellious agitation stages the overexposure of our violent or obscene desires. The home is unveiling our patches of shadow and light.
stage 1 - Please disturb
|
|
Please disturb > hall 1 Conception : Vincent Grégoire - NellyRodi Acts of domestic rebellion
Somewhere between vandalizing and baring all, a rebellious energy is flaunting an overexposed privacy. Revolting against the conformism of the day, extravagance and derision are exploding the usual aesthetic codes. Materials and forms are shamelessly brutalized. Mistreated, dented, burned, bandaged or punctured objects are taking the stage. Violation of the home is giving rise to openly erotic expressions. A provocative but salutary rebellion.

stage 2 - Microcosmes
|
|
Microcosmes > hall 2 Conception : François Bernard. The new means of comfort
In an overexposed, noisy world, our age aspires to finding inner silence. Design is exploring paths that reanimate the inner life of the object, fitting spaces within spaces, imagining micro-worlds and virtual walls. In this search for serenity, comfort and discretion are recreating spaces for the self. Design is inventing new uses that are more artistic than functional, dominated by poetry and a touch of the invisible.

stage 3 - Archaic Shelters
| |
Archaic Shelters > hall 3 Conception : Elizabeth Leriche. New modes of protection
Times of uncertainty reactivate the archaic desire to take shelter and find inner peace. An ultra-contemporary architecture of refuge and comfort is responding to a need for privacy. Architecture is drawing inspiration from the primordial home and the nest in order to take to the heights or gain distance. From fragile to raw materials, from feather to stone by way of animal skins, design is borrowing elements from nature in order to build neo-primitive retreats.
